Abstract
Nano
crystalline Co1xZn x Fe 2 O 4 ferrites powder were prepared by the spraying coprecipitation method. Their microstructure and magnetic properties wer e investigated by XRD, TEM as well as VSM. T he results show that nano crystalline Co1xZnxFe2O4 ferrite s powder are spinel phase. The average crystallite size of nanocrystalline Co1xZnxFe2O4 ferrites powder
calci ned at 7 00 C for 1.5 h is about 3 2 nm. The lattice parameter a of nanocrystalline Co1xZnxFe2 O4 ferrites powder
increase s with the Zn2+ ions concent ration. The enhancement of the magnetization up to maximum value of 83.4 A·m 2 ·kg 1 in
nanocrystalline Co0.7Zn0.3Fe2O4 ferrite powder is observed. This can be attributed to the change of the net magnetic moment
between the sublattices for the substitution of the Co2+ ions with Zn2+ ions. The coercivity Hc of nanocrystalline Co1xZnxFe2O4
ferrites powder decrease s with Zn2+ ions concentration..
