Abstract
The nonlinear optical absorption of gold nanoparticles dispersed in polyvinyl alcohol is investigated using open aperture Zscan technique. Au:PVA nanocomposite material is synthesized by chemical method. The characterization of the material is done by UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry (XRD)..
