Abstract
In this paper for the first time the compounds Y0.5-xLi1.5VO4:Eux (YLV:Eu) (0.01<x<0.1mol) were synthesized by the simple method of solid state reaction. The technology takes much time dry low temperature and little time calcined to synthesize rare earth vanadates. Their structures were analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction experiment. The excitation and emission spectra were measured at room temperature. Y0.5-xLi1.5VO4:Eux show the characteristice missions of Eu3+ (5D0–7F1, 2, 3, 4
transitions dominated by 5D0–7F2). Incorporation of Li+ ions in the phosphors promote the crystallinity, reduce the amount of Y2O3, and lower the cost of production, therefore, Y0.5-xLi1.5VO4:Eux phosphors are potentially to be one of the candidates in red-lighting materials.
