Abstract
Zn-substituted Co ferrite thin films, Co1-xZnxFe2O4 (0≤x≤1.0), were synthesized by the sol-gel process. The variation of magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant obtained by Law of Approach to saturation and static magnetic properties of Zn-substituted Co ferrite thin films have been investigated. The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant decreased with the increase of Zn substitution. The saturation magnetization increased with the increase of Zn substitution when x≤0.20, and decreased when x>0.20. Meanwhile, the coercivity initially decreased with the increase of Zn substitution when x≤0.60, and increased when x>0.60..
