Abstract
Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles were obtained by complexation method using the following system: 0.5Ni(NO3)2 - 0.5Zn(NO3)2 – 2Fe(NO3)3 - DMAE (where DMAE is dimethylaminoethanol). The complex precursor has been characterized by FTIR and thermal analyses. The formation of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles was monitorized by thermal treatment of the complex precursor at 300 0C, 400 0C, 500 0C, 700 0C and 800 0C. The Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 spinel nanopowders have been investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The magnetic properties investigation revealed significant differences regarding the saturation magnetization values of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 samples obtained at different heating temperatures..
