Abstract

The CdZnS/TiO2 was successfully loaded on the glass fibers by sol-gel process and hydrothermal method. The samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry and BET analysis etc. The degradation efficiency of CdZnS/TiO2/GF to methylene blue (reached to 97%. The photocatalytic activity can be ascribed to the beneficial microstructure and synergistic effects of coupled CdZnS/TiO2 on glass fibers. Therefore, the glass fibers were proved to be a good support for preparation of CdZnS/TiO2/GF composite which not only exhibited high photocatalytic activity but also was easy to be recycled and reused..
