Abstract
Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/Antimony Doped Tin Oxide (ATO) composite nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning composite solutions of ATO and PAN in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). The surface morphology, thermal properties and crystal structure of PAN/ATO nanofibers are characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), wide-angle x-ray diffraction (WAXD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Thermo gravimetric analyses (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results indicate that the introduction of ATO nanoparticles into the polymer matrix has a significant
effect on the crystallinity of PAN and a strong interaction between PAN and ATO nanoparticles..
