Abstract
Aggregated Al TiO2 sphere s w ere synthesized by sol gel method using graphite sphere template. The diameter of the
spheres is almost as large as 500 nm. Anatase TiO2 forms in all the samples, and doping of aluminum in the anatase TiO2
skeleton hinders crystal growing. The binding energies of Ti2 p 3/2 and Ti2 p 1/2 electrons dec r ease after doping aluminum in
TiO2 spheres. The surface area of the aggregated Al TiO 2 spheres is doubled after doping 0.1% of aluminum in the TiO2 skeleton. The maximum photocatalytic degradation efficiency is obtained by the 0.1%Al TiO2 aggregated spheres.
Decoloration efficiency on the 0.1%Al TiO2 aggregated spheres decreases slowly after several treating cycles..
