Abstract
To achieve higher-power visible laser output from a Pr3+:YLF crystal, we introduced, for the first time, spectral beam combination of blue laser diodes to overcome individual diode power limitations. By optimizing key parameters including the output mirror's transmittance and curvature, a maximum output power of 7.95 W at 639.5 nm was obtained under 20 W of pump power, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of 42.31%. This demonstrates the feasibility of scaling visible laser power using Pr³⁺:YLF crystals pumped by spectrally combined blue diodes.
