Abstract
In this paper we perform a systematic study of the influence of the external and material parameters on the colour’s
succession, purity and intensity for the thermo-electro-optical effect. This study is based on a theoretical model for the
observed phenomenon in a computer simulation of the effect. In order to simulate the thermo-electro-optical effect we have
designed a computer programme, in BORLAND DELPHY 6.0 language. Our programme (THEO) validates the theoretical
model and may be used to find the optimal set of parameters in order to obtain a desired succession of colours, with higher
purity and intensity, for a given mixture. The results of our study could be used to enhance the performances of the
optoelectronic devices based on this effect.
